This week, Ruden Water is represented by Helene Ruden at the Zanzibar Water Conference. Fridtjov Ruden and Manon van Goethem are contributing to the technical programme with presentations. We are excited for our continuous collaboration with Zanzibar on supporting the implementation of the Zanzibar Development Vision 2050 towards achieving blue economy.

We met H.E. Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar, who addressed his support for the Ruden Water approach during the official opening of the conference, and with the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Water, Energy and Minerals Mr. Joseph J. Kilangi.

Vitising partners in Kenya and Somalia

The team of Ruden Water is continuing its endeavours to enable more access to water in the Horn of Africa. Recently, Elizabeth and Helene travelled to Nairobi to meet with NOCK (National Oil Corporation of Kenya) and the Ministry of Water of Kenya. They also traveled to Mogadishu in Somalia to discuss the continuation of the Somalia Deep Groundwater Project.
